eeRIS an electric energy residential information system

The eeRIS project aims to provide useful information to electric energy residential consumers with regards to their electric energy consumption. The ultimate goal of the project is to achieve engagement through feedback for the consumers, by offering them a better understanding regarding the nature of their consumption.

The aforementioned goals are set to achieved by the following actions:

  1. Design and implementation of a low cost, high accuracy metering infrastructure, which will be connected to a central point of the residential electric installation. This device will provide sampled measurements regarding the electrical energy consumption in the installation.
  2. Design and implementation of a low cost processing unit that will be able to collect measurement values sampled by the eeRIS metering device, process them and communicate the results to the end user.
  3. Implementation of algorithms for the processing of the electric consumption measurements, that include the disaggregation of the overall measurements to individual load curves, the statistical analysis of the data as well as their transformation to a form comprehensible by the end user.
  4. Implementation of back-end services for storing and processing the system data.
  5. Implementation of the necessary user interface that will bridge the back-end services and the end user, driven by the optimization of the end user experience as a primary requirement, as well as the dissemination of the suggested solution to the market.
