PSL

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Power Systems Lab (PSL) of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki covers knowledge and technical areas such as electric energy generation, transmission and distribution as well as economic function and sustainability of power systems, among others. PSL has been involved in more than 70 European, bi-lateral and national contract projects, mostly related to the research and development of power systems, renewable energy sources, electric power and consumption control, environmental impacts from power generation and applications of Information Technologies. It also co-operates closely with local energy authorities, energy market participants and power producers.

The Intelligent Systems & Software Engineering Labgroup (ISSEL) has proven to be an active member of the Aristotle University’s research and development by having participated in more than 30 projects, that are related to research in the field of intelligent systems, autonomous agents, service-oriented robotics as well as applied machine learning, knowledge discovery and informatics applications. The Intelligent Systems and Software Engineering Labgroup with a scope of Software Development for Information Processing and Data Analytics has established a quality management system that is in conformance with the International Standard EN ISO 9001:2015.
